Gang-Ripping
Gang-ripped lumber refers to wood that has been cut into multiple narrower pieces in a single pass using a machine called a gang rip saw. A large board or wide plank is fed through a saw. Instead of just 1 blade, the machine has multiple circular blades lined up side-by-side. As the board passes through, it gets "ripped" into several smaller boards at once. Pictured on the left is gang-ripped lumber.

Example: If you feed a 12" wide board into a gang rip saw set with blades spaced every 3", you'll get four 3-inch wide boards in one pass.

Great for: Flooring production, furniture parts, Cabinet stock, pallet and construction lumber.

Cut-to-Length
-
Lumber is cut to exact specified dimensions
-
Eliminates the need for additional cutting at the job site
-
Efficient Yield Optimization
-
Common in:
-
Construction framing packages
-
Cabinetry & Millwork
-
Furniture Production
-
Prefabricated building components
-

Tight tolerances, clean square edges, & consistency is what we strive for!

Surfacing s2s (surfacing 2 sides)
We can surface (two-sides) your lumber! Two-sides means both faces top & bottom of every board comes surfaced, hit or miss. Surfaced to 15/16" is the most common surfacing thickness in 4/4 lumber, however we can also surface 5/4, 6/4, & 8/4 lumber. Inquire today!

-
Saves time - Skip a major milling step, which means less work with a planer or hand tools
-
Consistent thickness - Lumber is surfaced to a specified thickness

SLR1E - Straight Line Rip 1 Edge
We offer SLR1E (Straight Line Rip 1 Edge) material. In lumber grading & woodworking, SLR1E refers to a specific milling process applied to a board.
-
The board is cut lengthwise using a straight-line rip saw. this machine uses a guided fence or laser to ensure the cut is perfectly straight, even if the original board edge is warped or uneven.
-
1 Edge - Only one edge of the board is straightened and made true square & consistent

Boards after SLR1E provide a true reference edge for Panel glue-ups, cabinet making, furniture building, etc.
